The concert season 2010 for Jazz Heat Bongo Beat could not end better tahn this: on Dec 10 at Helsinki’s Club YK, we’re happy to present a full two floors of hot Bongo Beat action featuring the father of Ethio Jazz himself, Mr. Mulatu Astatke alongside Astro Can Caravan plus DJs.

Mulatu et al play tracks from his excellent new album “Mulatu Steps Ahead”, plus the celebrated classics of Ethio Jazz of course, and the Astros showcase material from their new Ricky-Tick LP “Planet Caravan”, out now. Add to this the Afrobalearic (yes, that’s right) stylings of Hannulelauri DJs in the basement and the jazz & afrobeat-heavy combination of DJs Didier & Matti Nives upstairs, and you’ve got yourself a full platter of class-A aural cuisine.

More info soon, but be alert: tickets are strictly limited due to the small capacity of the venue and on sale now. Sold-outness expected.
